When Arrival, one of the worlds leading manufacturers of electric vehicles, approached us to make a short film about their AI driven racing car taking on formula E world champion Lucas Di Grassi on a secret testing track, we knew we had to say yes!

The back story of the challenge and the development of the AI driver was told through beautifully shot, stylistic interviews in a 2:39:1 cinema frame, intercut with action from previous testing events to build the narrative to current day. The excitement and dynamism of the most recent race attempt was captured with cinema and FPV drones, on track ops shooting FX9's with Optima zooms and a smattering of well positioned GoPro10's to bring the audience up close and personal to the action, from the drivers cab to dangerous corners.

Specially commissioned 3D animation was used to help visualise the complex language of race car optics, lines and engine management...or as we like to call it, how the car worked!
